Dr. Jeffrey Mitchell, a physician in South Florida, has developed a new vaccine for the common cold, according to the Florida Health Department.
It’s called MyImmuneVax and it’s made by Immunogenix.
The company is also working on a flu vaccine.
The vaccine is currently in phase 3 trials.
Mitchell has been developing the vaccine for over 10 years.
He says the company is now focusing on getting the vaccine to the FDA.
I don’t think there’s any other vaccine out there, he said.
I’ve worked with a lot of people in the vaccine industry, and I think we’ve got the best product out there.
Dr. Steven S. Rieder, professor of allergy medicine at Harvard Medical School, said the vaccine works by targeting the immune system to destroy the virus and kill it.
It also works by triggering the production of antibodies that bind to the virus.
In a small trial, immunogenix successfully treated a patient with a common cold who had no evidence of previous allergies, according the FHSC.
The FDA approved the vaccine last week.
Mitchell’s team is looking at several other vaccine candidates, including the influenza vaccine.
It will take at least six to nine months for the vaccine’s first batch to go into clinical trials, according Sridhar Nair, chief executive of MyImmunovax.
That would be about six months before the FDA approves the first dose.
Nair says it’s important to have vaccines that are safe and effective for people with a range of allergies.
But he said this vaccine is particularly important for those who have allergies to pollen, dust, and other airborne particles, and who have difficulty breathing.
The CDC recommends everyone get vaccinated as soon as possible to reduce the risk of developing allergies to the vaccine.
